Add Some Twinkle

It's grey and cold here in Melbourne and as much as some people love it - I am not one of those people.  So to lift my spirits here are some twinkling lights that should surely help dispel the gloom even if it is 8 degrees.

Store It

Finally found a fun way to store all my random cupcake cases.  The O.C.D. side of my personality loves a good storage solution.  Maybe I need to get out more!

S'mores

Ever since Dax Shepard told me how to make S'mores I have been dying to try them.  I don't think I can wait until the next time we camp - so this weekend we're going to make them at home.

According to Dax - Toast marshmallows over a campfire and place them on a graham cracker with a piece of chocolate. Take a second graham cracker and mash it on top to complete the s'mores. Be careful, toasted marshmallows will have very hot centers.

Apparently there are dozens of variations on the theme but first up I want to try the original before moving on to more glamourous versions.  Besides, if it's OK by Dax, it's OK by me!

Steel My Heart

A friend sent me this image knowing, quite rightly, that I would love it.  The industrial doors for our renovation have been designed and quoted so as soon as we get the go ahead from the builders they will go in to production.  They are not quite as large as these!  Doors are similar but without all the windows above.

Flower Pots

I've started to go through a few cupboards in anticipation of packing up to move out and came across some old tins we had collected at some point or other and couldn't bare to throw out.  They are definitely coming with us so best I pack them up now so Surfer Boy doesn't make me ditch them.  As I keep telling him - you never know when these things are going to come in handy.

1982 With A Bullet

   Nothing makes me more thrilled than when one of my kids appreciates something that means a lot to me.  In tonight's case my gorgeous 7 yr old, Moondoggie fell completely headover heels for this song and film clip from one of my all time favourite movies.  He has been copying the choreography and singing the song all evening.

        

I think it's time for a family movie night!  STARSTRUCK here we come.

Wednesday Wedding - Rainbows

It's been a long time since I've done a wednesday wedding post but this one was just begging to be shared.  It's been a while since a wedding has made me smile like this one has.
