She's Free
The first thing I noticed today was the lack of a builders fence around the property. It's amazing how naked the house looks, but she now almost looks like her old self - minus a few plants and grass and with the addition of much mud. Only a matter of days now.. fingers crossed.

Connor Homes
I fell in love today
I discovered Connor Homes.
They build kit homes - like nothing you have ever seen before.
I hate new homes.
They never seem to capture the spirit of an old home.
Until today.
This is the Benjamin Morrow House
I am completely and utterly in love.
This Georgian home is in New England and was inspired by the original details of the historic Wells Thorn House which still stands in Deerfield, Massachusetts. It is only a few years old!

Peeping In - Jackie O
What's the bet Kyle's home is not quite to stylish and classic? I kind of want to show you just as a comparison but it may hurt your eyes....

Short Hills
Through Facebook I've just re-discovered an old friend who has been living in the U.S. for the past 12 years. I thought I'd Google the area he lives in to get an idea of his life now and look what images came up...
I'm thinking he is probably doing alright for himself!!!

North & South
I've spent the last few evenings curled up with these lovely boys...
Orry Main (Patrick Swayze) and George Hazard (James Read).
There is nothing like a sweeping period miniseries to get me entranced and this one is right up there with my very favourite - All The Rivers Run. I will be entrenched in the American civil war for the next few weeks so forgive me if I start talking with a Southern drawl.
Of course one thing that I couldn't keep my eyes off this time around were the amazing homes of the Hazard and Main families. The South had a lot that was fundamentally wrong with it but it's architecture wasn't one of those things.
