Princess Watch - Kate's Having A Baby!

What wonderful news to wake up to although it has been tempered by the fact that Kate is very unwell and has been hospitalised necessitating the need to announce the pregnancy early.

THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE ARE EXPECTING A BABY

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby.
The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.
The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter.

“HG is a debilitating and potentially life-threatening pregnancy disease marked by rapid weight loss, malnutrition, and dehydration due to unrelenting nausea and/or vomiting with potential adverse consequences for the newborn(s).”

I thought playing hockey in heels was impressive - but doing it while suffering from HG adds a whole new level of stoicism.

Kate has cancelled her next couple of engagements and Will spent the day with her at the hospital - here he is leaving last night.  Hopefully Kate will be able to successfully manage her condition and enjoy the rest of her pregnancy.
