Catalina Estrada
I spotted one of these images on Pinterest and I was so intrigued I went looking to see where such astonishing wall art came from. Catalina Estrada is a Colombian illustrator based in Barcelona. She has reinterpreted the Latin American folklore with its original strength to make it bloom. Her impressive and cheerful visual language, infectiously optimistic, with thousands of colors, and with all the power of nature, goes beyond borders and she is now much loved throughout the world. Unfortunately when I showed Surfer Boy he was less than enthusiastic about the wallpaper but lucky for me she does many other products - bed linen, cushions, handbags and travel goods, umbrellas, school products, and many others. Surely I can sneak something in, maybe a new doona cover!

Maps
We all know maps look fabulous on the wall, as a feature, a whole wall or just incidentally....
But that is far from the only ways to utilise a good map - or even a bad one for that matter. Before you throw out those old road maps in favour of your GPS think again. You just might be able to do something fabulous with them.
Princess Watch - Danish Style
Surfer Boy shakes his head when he checks this blog and finds post after post of Princess Watch. One of his gripes is that we have our very own Australian Princess - so to keep him happy I went looking and it turns our Mary and Fredrick are also on a Royal Tour, of Brazil. Here you go S.B., Princess Mary on Tour.....
This seems to be a more low key tour in comparison to the British Royal Couple, and perhaps highlighting the biggest difference between the couples - Mary and Fredrick's open displays of affection. Very sweet.

It's All Over!
Well it's all over - another Royal tour done and dusted. What on earth am I going to do with myself now with no new Will and Kate pics on the horizon? To finish off here is Kate's last day on tour....
Fare-welled in Tuvalu...
wearing Project D - Dannii Minogue's label no less!
Flew to Brisbane to catch their connecting flight back home...quick change at the airport for the long haul back to the cooler weather.
It's ridiculous how disappointed I am that the tour is over - I may have to resort to writing fan fiction! I wonder if K & W fan fiction even exists? Best I go and find out.......

Royal Tour - Tuvalu
On arriving in Tuvalu Will and Kate were carried by throne to a fete where Will made a speech on behalf of the Queen. They then visited Nauti Primary School and the University of the South Pacific.
In the evening they attended a traditional dinner hosted by the Governor General of Tuvalu. This dinner turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip with Will and Kate joining in some traditional dancing!! What a fabulous way to end the tour with a glimpse of the couple at their most relaxed.

Kate wore - the Alice by Temperley embroidered crepe maxi dress.
